Hi all,

Just another newbie with a Galaxy problem:

I have an old "N" reg 2 ltr petrol, which I was hoping would last me to the end, (I'm 65, and disabled), coming home Monday from my Club, hot day, sunroof open, and it wouldn't shut!

I Don't have a manual, I looked in the dashboard fuse box, no fuse listed, for sunroof "HUmmmm!"

First question: is there a fuse, if so what number is it, and Where?

Second question: is it easy to get to? Being disabled means, in this case very restricted movement, and ability!

So, can I do it, or do I have to call out the repair guy!

iirc,if you remove the cover by the button this exposes the motor and there should be an allen key clipped in there so that you can close the sunroof in an emergancy.

think you may have to do a search on sunroofs and see what comes up,there is a detailed thread on repairing them in the faqs in the tech section of the forum.

Thanks for that! You were correct, and now at least it is closed.

Funnily enough, I couldn't resist trying it after I had wound it closed... and it worked!

Opened and shut a dozen times faultlessly! (is there a limit/reversing switch that could be faulty/stuck?) Been in Computer electronics for most of my working life, but just can't stand working on cars!

Now I'm to be called "Totally Confused from Essex!"

Anyway thanks again, crisis averted, and I'll get my mechanic to look at it on the next service.

Regards
