Stalling After Starting Re Start Fine

hi there

i have a mk 111 tdi 1.9 tdi auto ,i read a topic that said if this started and then stalled and then started again and then fine could be the key ,changing the key could be the anserw ,but this is intermitent.could this still be the cause or have i got a relay going.and secondley has any one expreinced when you return from revving up engine you have a deep like rumbling,like exhaust blowing and returning to normal no rumbling ,no blowing noises cheers going on holiday soon terricfic ah ah cheers help please

Hi i've only just joined today,but have a lot of experiance with manuel mk2 19 tdi, ive had two in the last eight years,(880,000 between them!)

the start and restart problem could be and sounds like a cam sensor(just behind front cam pulley/front of engine)and not sure if the autos have a dual mass fly wheel,but thats what makes a deep rumble on the manuels when thats on its way out.........hope this helps,cheers
