Help With Change Of Front Discs?

hi just a quick one i need to change front discs not pads as they are good,can i do this without having to need to bleed all the brakes again,can i just take bakes off discs then change discs without taking pads out cheers guys details on how to do this would be great and tools needed cheers

You should change the pads when you change the discs, regardless of how little they have worn. If you don't then you will encourage the new discs to wear unevenly.

 

If the pads were good they used to re-face them, that is to dress the friction material so it is again flat and parallel to the back. This is also acceptable, but nobody bothers now as the cost of new pads is reasonable, and cheaper in most cases than re-facing.

Also if your changing front disc I know on my 06 the bolts where huge and I hired a impact gun to undo the bolts good luck
