Joel Mansford Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 I've had my Galaxy Titanium 163PS TDCI Powershift for about 1.5weeks. It's nice and efficient, however pulling out at T-junctions is just horrible, the delay in it slipping the clutch and then getting enough revs to touch the turbo is unacceptable. Sport / tiptronic don't seem any better. Left-foot on the brake does nothing (the revs won't rise) I've just 'upgraded' from a Citroen C8 2.2petrol (160bhp manual) so I don't think I have unrealistic expectations about the amount of power vs size of car. I am also well used to driving turbo-diesel cars, albeit manual ones. My other car is a Mk5 Golf GTI DSG, on that the gearbox seems smart enough that if you bury the accelerator more from a standstill it will release the clutch quicker. You can also hold it with your left foot if you are trying to do a 'launch', I've found nothing similar on the powershift. ETIS shows nothing pending for it so I guess the software update referred to elsewhere is already on it. Am I missing something as surely people have the same issues with the Mondeo etc. Quote
