Multiple Electrical Fault

i was on my way home a couple of days ago, when suddenly my 2001 Ford galaxy will not move swiftly in the first gear. At the same time a 15amp fuse blew in the fuse box, speedometer stopped working, petrol gauge behaving erratic, and automatic gear box selector on the dashboard disappeared.

 

I stopped the vehicle and try restarting it, but it wont't start at all, i called my auto electrician who partially resolved the problem thus allowing me to start the vehicle, but it can only be started on P and will not start on N, also the vehicle does not pick up on the first gear and will not go into 5th. I have changed the gearbox oil, but this has not resolved the problem. in the meantime the gearbox selector light on the dashboard is still off and the odometer has stopped working.Are there any auto electrician on this forum that can help?
