2006 Galaxy - Change To Second Gear Difficult

I have a manual 2006 Galaxy Petrol 2.0 LX, a few days ago the gear change to 2nd became clunky and difficult.

 

At the same time the speedometer became unreliable and the engine management warning light came on.

 

Has anyone faced something similar, I'm not a mechanic but should I be expecting a large bill at the garage.
