Rds 5000 Query

My RDS5000 only plays through one speaker and if the volume is turned up too high it cuts out.

I'm guessing the unit needs to be replaced (unless anyone thinks otherwise!).

In terms of sourcing a replacement, I presume I can just get an ordinary RDS5000 (e.g. Mondeo) and switch the face plates (i.e. from rounded to the square)?

I would check the wiring in the 3 doors first as its extreamly common for the wiring to break which would cause loss of sound. If you only have one channel audio then it will probably cut out when turned up, especially if the wiring to the other channels is shorted.
