Mr Nood Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Hi - Hope someone can help T reg Galaxy petrol. Central locking operates OK - but rear passenger side door will not unlock. The door is stuck shut. (MOT tester will not test until I can open it!) On operating the remote key, both for locking and unlocking, the faulty door switch does make a noise (when locking it is a few moments later than the other doors). But the lock remains on. I have removed internal door panel from both rear doors (I did the offside just to see if I could see how it works since I CAN open this door!). From the open door it appears that the lock and motor are held in by screws on the face of the door which is against the pillar. Thus I cannot access these whilst the door is locked shut. Is there any way to force the door to unlock from inside the door panel? Thanks in advance... Quote
Ghia-X Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 It sounds like the deadlock is on and thats why the door wont open . The most likely cause for this problem is a broken wire in the rubber gaitor between the door and the door post . You may need to get a Haynes manual to find out the correct colour wire that goes to the deadlock so you can add a power supply in order to trigger the deadlock into releasing . Quote
