B) Hi , I have a portable DVD player that I wisjh to connect to the AUX socket. In spite of much playing I have been unable to get it to work.

The Car is a 2004 Mondeo TDCi GHIA , ie with built in Sony 6006 player.

Is there a special trick to changing to AUX , pressing the button keeps it on CD with no reaction.

Help.... (I guess it is connected as std)

Sorry, no answer from me on this one - just somebody else with the same issue - how do I get the glovebox AUX socket to work ?! I also have a 2004 Mondeo. Presumably the socket is a 3.5mm stereo ? What type of cable is required?

Spotted this thread today after I found the solution. When I found you could connect an external MP3 player tthought I should make sure more knew how

All you need is a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack lead. The key to getting it to work is to switch on AUX-IN. Stumbled across how to do this by pressing and continually holding the MENU button. Eventually, after a few seconds, you get something like VDIN showing and pressing the right button (or was it up) a few times gets to AUX-IN and you can turn to on.

Hope this helps.
