Hi, hope someone can help, I have a 2009 2.0 petrol galaxy. This morning after driving about 400 metres from cold, my galaxy stalled when pulling up at a junction, managed to re start the car [just] but could not get the revs to rise for a while, no matter how much I pushed down on the accelerator. Have since noticed that when slowing at junctions etc, the revs seem to drop to around the 500-750 rpm mark. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this?

HI, Did the orange engine light come on? if so the engine management system sould have stored a fault code which can be red with a scanner.

Possable causes could include, engine temperature sensor, idle controll valve, throttle housing contaminated with carbon.

A check for fault codes would be the first step i think.

would be interested to know how you get on!
