DavMaz Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hi, hope someone can help, I have a 2009 2.0 petrol galaxy. This morning after driving about 400 metres from cold, my galaxy stalled when pulling up at a junction, managed to re start the car [just] but could not get the revs to rise for a while, no matter how much I pushed down on the accelerator. Have since noticed that when slowing at junctions etc, the revs seem to drop to around the 500-750 rpm mark. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Quote
fankle Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 HI, Did the orange engine light come on? if so the engine management system sould have stored a fault code which can be red with a scanner.Possable causes could include, engine temperature sensor, idle controll valve, throttle housing contaminated with carbon.A check for fault codes would be the first step i think.would be interested to know how you get on!
