Mauser Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Hi guys,Sorry to be a pain but messed up my fuses whilst checking them the other day. Now I am unsure what fuses go where B), got the manual but it covers several version / models so hard to work out whats what.Could someone with the same spec vehicle as mine just pop open the fuse cover under the steering wheel and let me know what fuses are fitted and of course what number holder ?.I am 100% sure there wasn't a fuse in number 4 but according to the manual this is the engine managment fuse B)... so I guess that has to be right. Was checking them 1 by 1 but then someone distracted me and I think I have 1 in the wrong space as there are several gaps in teh top row.Would it cause any problems to fill all the fuse holders with fuses ?, of course I would stick the right ratting in B) this would be the easiest way around the problem.ThanksSimonPS 1999 2.3 Auto Petrol Ghia Quote
seatkid Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 This is where the TIS CD comes in handy. It will tell you that for a 2.3 engine, F4 was only fitted before 01/99 and is for the PATS module. So was yours built in 98? You really ought to make a note or take a picture before you pull loads of fuses. B) Which are the ones you're not sure about? Quote
Mauser Posted May 18, 2004 Author Report Posted May 18, 2004 Most really,Any which have gaps next to them Seatkid B).I am normally carefull but my mind is on other issue's at the moment B).I think I will add all fuses as I posted before I don't think it will do any harm B).I have the TIS manual but its great if you can work out which model is yours B). Mine's a 1999 "V" plated 2.3 auto petrol if that helps.Just wish the manual Ford supply would reflect the vehicle sold B).I can but dream I guess. Thanks again Seatkid Quote
MrT Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 In my fusebox there is a label similar to the picture that SEATKID posted and it reflects what the fuses should be. The handbook is different. Quote
Mauser Posted May 18, 2004 Author Report Posted May 18, 2004 Hmmm mine shows fuse 4 on the little credit card but the car works without it B).Sodden air conditioning has now stopped fan runs but no cold air, display says Lo B).Sob doomed foreverSimon Quote
