mk2 1.9tdi galaxy zetec

nearly got the retro fit done

the only thing thats confusing me is where does the wire with the connector go near the brake/clutch switch?

ive had the clutch switch out and it wont fit on that

there is a spare hole above the clutch switch that looks like a switch could go in there

just had a quick look at a friends mk2 galaxy with cruise control and couldnt see the wire

I should know this as I have done the job myself, but i cannot remember. I remember cutting a plastic connector off a black wire that connects to another wire into the fuse box. This was the only wire to terminate in the actual car, all the others were into the ecu.

I will have a look tonight and let you know.

Hi

Just looked at fitting instructions for mine the only wires are to the ecu and one for power no others are needed is your kit just for galaxy or will it do other cars to?

its not a fuse holder is it ?

what do the instructions say ?

Hi, sorry for the delay.

Just checked my instructions and yes, there is only 1 wire to connect inside the car except for the connector to the actual cruise control stalk. This is on a v6 model, might be different for other models.

My instructions were going on about dismantling the fuse board to connect this wire into the car. This wire had a connector that slipped into a slot in the fuse board. But I couldn't dismantle as the instuctions asked. So I cut of this plastic connector and connected the wire into the wiring harness. I believe this wire is to supply power to the switch but I couldn't guarantee this.

Good luck. :o
