Help - Galaxy 2.3 Petrol X Reg (2000)

Hi can someone please help us,

recently the battery failed and the windscreen wipers stopped working on our galaxy, we replaced the battery and the windscreen linkage but in between these two things the alarm started to go off every time we opened the doors and started the car. Once the wipers were working we then noticed they dont have intermittent just run at high speed. Also the central locking doesn't work, the fob has never worked and we have to use the key to manually open the door My husband removed the fuse for the alarm and took the sensors off the doors which then stopped the problem obviously no sound from the alarm and the doors dont know they are open !!! but now when you start the engine the hazards are on, checked the fuses, had a auto electrician out today and he reckons its the module under the fuse compartment ?? we have tried to get a price and part number from our local ford dealer but they say that there could be 10 different part numbers they would have to have it in and diagnose the problem !! and then the module would be anything up to 900 !!!!

So is there any other ideas, im not convinced about this module as everything else within there works , the car starts drives etc,

We just would like the hazards to stop ! we can manage without an alarm and manual key any ideas if we can bypass this alarm to do this

or any ideas full stop for this problem
