charles Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 maybe a weird question. has someone experience with installing headrest speakers. normally they are fitted in spiders. But my wife complains about the music on long journeys, with headrest speakers a more private enviroment could be created. Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Give her a walkman? ... or get something like a Meriva or XC-90 and get her to sit in the back so she can choose her own music source and listen on headphones? Quote
charles Posted May 17, 2004 Author Report Posted May 17, 2004 my kids have headphones for their DVD. My wife me wants silence and I'm driving and I want music! With headrest speaker at the drivers seat, I can listen to music at a low volume without disturbing the silence. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Have you tried specialist car hifi shops, or specialist seat manufacturers, like Recaro? Quote
MrT Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Buy her a pair of ear defenders available from most DIY outlets. They also come is useful for you to wear when she is full of bright ideas about what you should be doing. Quote

Guest EVSS Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 i thought that was what top boxes were for... Quote
Tigger Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 If you put speakers in a top box you would get a good sound. Afreind has an mx5 but the headrest speakers are not great. I have thought it is about time that they out earohone plugs near the speakers so you can use personal headphones Quote
