Funny Smell?

Right this might seem a daft question but i'm new to diesel's so i'm not sure

 

Whilst running the engine once its warmed up i can smell a funny smell comming from the engine area...is that right or could there be somethimg wrong...its hard to describe the smell. :lol:

 

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated. :lol:

Plastic bag wrapped around the exhaust pipe?

What sort of smell? Can you smell it from inside the car, or only from outside with bonnet open or closed?
