DAVIDMKWILLIAMS Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 i have a galaxy 07 and the climate controls are worn question is i cant find replacement climate control only from dealership at Quote
Smilge Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 I don't know Dave. I know they are controlled by the CAN Bus so whether or not it'll need the address I would suspect that IDS will be required to do it. Mine has the advanced bluetooth so it's interfaced with that as well. I can't see there being vast differences between them so give it a go if the plugs fit?? (depends on how much you paid for it) Quote

Stephen154 Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 Most of the cars will share the same parts to cut down on costs.Sat NavHave a look at this thread as it shows how to remove the trim, if i remember correctly this unit was held in by screws and had some connectors on the rear. There should be no reason why you should need a complete system as the control unit is just an electrically system to control the actual HVAC unit, which would be hidden between the bulkhead and the engine bay somewhere.Hopes this helps and i would say no harm in looking and seeing. The only issue could be a software update ie if the unit was from a 2011 car backfitted to a 2007 car as there was a big change in the systems. Quote
