Blank Key/spare Key

hello again guys, i need your help once more! on purchasing my galaxy i only got one key, im therefore looking to get a spare, but dont want to pay through the nose...can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks in advance. Edited April 3, 2011 by paulzzippy

is the key you have a remote?

if so then does it work as it should?and start the car?

then make sure the new remote has the same frequency as your current 1.

i got 1 from ebay and got the new horseshoe blank from there aswell and got it cut at my local timpsons.

thats the easy part taken care of.........

 

now you have to get the thing programed to the pats system of the car,and this is where it will cost you.

wether its having it cloned or reprogramed it could cost you up to

get the key that opens the door

put it in the lock turn it to the unlock position 3 times and the led in the door will flash

 

then i think you hold the lock button and press unlock 3 times

this will program the key fob then just put the spare somewhere safe

yes what you have posted is correct,but that only programs the key to the central locking,IT does

not program it to the pats system,this requires the correct software/computer that mobile locksmiths may have

or its a dealer visit.

buy another key program all three to open doors using intructions on here or in the manual then get the two new ones cut and pats chip programmed. My local locksmith did this for about

For a key just to open doors via the lock (no fob) can i get that cut anywere like a house key, and use it straight off? no programing ? thanks for the help

yes if they have the blanks or get ablank off e bay i use Timpsons they have cut mine for
