millyd Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Hi, Just bought a Galaxy MkIII registered in June 07'. The flat area of the driver side footwell seems to be very hollow under the carpet. In fact, if you look under the car whilst pressing around the carpet area you can see the underside/floor panel of the car flex. The area in question is the flat (about 20*20cm) carpeted area immediately behind the plastic heal patch but in front of the raised section on which the seat is mounted. Hence, the area where I tend to place my leading foot when entering the car. Can anyone confirm the same on similar car? Am I just being paranoid that my size 11 (under fairly hefty 17st frame) might bend it/go through it at some point!? My thinking is it is just wear and tear where many heals before mine have compressed whatever sits between the carpet and the floor panel while entering the car. Cheers. Quote
phils beast Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Hi just checked mine, although it feels hollow when tapped from outside it certainly doesn't flex when stood on inside.Hope that helps Quote
