davec Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Am looking at one of these and keeping our TDI galaxy as well for local use V6 for UK towing What kind of MPG should I expect solo and towing and are they prone to any failures Im not used to with galaxy lol Also does anyone insure their cars on a multicar policy, does it work out any cheaper Edited March 26, 2011 by davec Quote
edatelder Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 If you know an oil sheik, get it! I got 20 mpg out of a V6, on a good day, and that was not towing. Both electric cooling fans failed. Quote
davec Posted March 26, 2011 Author Report Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Oh dear not too promising think I'll wait for a TDI 4Motion Thanks anyway I have found a repossessed diesel 4motion thats in a bit of a state but have wondered how feasible it is to scrap it and remove the transfer box and rear drive and axle to fit to my 130 TDI Might see if ther is any info on TIS one prob is its a five speed box and I have a six so dont know if the drive adaptors would be compatible Edited March 26, 2011 by davec Quote
v6mikey Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) 23-24 round town with the AC on auto. 27-29 on the motorway with the AC on auto. Econ can save 1-1.5 mpg. This is according to the cars MFD and not towing. I don't tow anything yet! 4motion is excellent. :) Edited March 28, 2011 by v6mikey Quote
Mirez Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Don't think you'll find a 4motion with a diesel engine and 6 speed box. AFAIK it was only coupled to the 115 engine and 5 speed box. Quote
