wpka1975 Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Hi i have just fixed my cigar lighter and the two 12v sockets at the rear of my 1995 2.0ltr petrol ford galaxy after days of trawling through loads of ideas etc on the internet i decided to have on last look at the fuse box in the driver side of the car the normal marked cigar fuse was in place and not blown so i decided to just fill all the holes that could hold fuses and shazam i found one more fuse for the sockets right the top left hand side of the box there are two fuse side by side that are not mentioned in the ford manual so i chucked a 10amp in and it worked so jst to realiterate there are two fuses for the lighter sockets bleedin ford Quote
Kev64 Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Hi, I think I'll have to do the same as you as my cigar lighter socket not working when tried to use the sat nav in it.Kev Quote
seatkid Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) AFAIK the fuses for the rear sockets on a late 1998+ model are located in the floor cubbyhole under the drivers seat, tucked neatly under the side. I think there are 2 fuses one for each socket. Mine is a Mk1 1998 model, models before the 1998 change had completely different wiring/fuses/looms etc etc. Edited February 20, 2012 by seatkid Quote
