Mirez,

I have a 2005 TDI 130 with the bits on you have fitted.

Here are a couple of photos of mine showing how the rubber strip is fitted.

I can't guarantee the fitment is correct as I have fixed my stuck wipers, overun pump motor brushes and pollen filter since I got it, so I may have put them back wrong. I seem to recall one time it looked similar to yours but it was because the two side strips that clip round the bottom the screen weren't clipped into the strip on the back of the scuttle.

Incidentally the two side pieces seem to be stuck to the bottom of the screen, but I was told this had been replaced by the previous owner, so they may have got jammed in then. If you haven't fitted any to the sides then maybe the scuttle is riding up the screen till the strip they should clip into hits the bottom of the glass. The long piece across the middle isn't stuck to the screen though.

Hope this is of help.

Thanks Mikey, wrong colour that sharan but nice none the less  I'm actually in talks with someone who's had a HG failure on a 2001 sharan 4motion derv so I may buy that and retrofit the 4motion to this galaxy... should be fun :angry2:

Richard, again thanks! Thats really helpfull as it shows that the seal is indeed different and I need those two clips - the scuttle and extension line up the same as mine now though so it should be cheap for those parts!

MrT, didn't have any problems myself the jets went strait into the new housing no problem...
