davec Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Am going to Disneyland Paris with 4 adults and two grandchildren and would like both the childseats on the nearside so adults dont have to climb over one seat then leave O/S passenger seat out to give space and everyone get out on the safe side of the road in France. Can I change the seatbelt buckle over to the other side on the N/S child seat,I thought I read on here that nuts were fitted on both sides but cant find it,probably wrong keywords :-( Be nice to know rather than strip down the seat for no reason Quote
Mirez Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Yes, the seatbelt buckles bolt hole (try saying that quickly!) is present on both sides so you can swap it around no problems. Obviously you'll need to swap the trim over from the other seat but other then that its an easy 15min job. Quote
davec Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 Many thanks for such a prompt and helpful reply much appreciated Quote
davec Posted March 20, 2011 Author Report Posted March 20, 2011 Swapped the buckle over today and the bolthole is ther as per Mirez's posting.I cannot refit the trim as the cutout is not there for the buckle if I want the seat release knob.I have removed the release knob, only a c clip and spring and fitted the seatbelt trim but the rear knob is not easily accessible.Am hoping that the seat trim 95VWA63904ACW is not too expensive so I can cut a seatbelt recess and have both. It is all on though which is the main thing :-) Quote
