oioisavaloy Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 I have a question that is bugging me;What range have you got on the remote opening on your Galaxy? Is it a car length, or thirty feet?I have to be right on top of the vehicle before mine operates, this can Quote
Richmond Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Mine operates at about 15 yards, I reckon. Quote
oioisavaloy Posted February 27, 2003 Author Report Posted February 27, 2003 Pulled my control module apart today inside the car and found a 'dry joint'on the PCB (surface mounted components) - works a treat now with good range. A bit of a fluke to find fault mind you - but I always look for things like this - seeing as the Galaxy's are prone to a bit of water ingress. Regards SAV  Quote
neil Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 ;) My remote will also only work when right up to the vehicle. Is there a correct method for fault finding either on the sender or reciever ? Quote
Guest steven.tunnicliffe@lineone.net Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 How to revive an olde thread or what? I used my remote fob and it must have worked at least 20-30 yards away...I was dead impressed, by the time I got to the car it had locked itself again so I must have been at least 30 seconds away!! However did anyone see that Lee Evans show on the beeb one Friday night recently where he took the p..s out of people who used their remote from distance... "Look everybody, I can open my car....without actually being there...." needless to say I don't do it anymore!! Quote
