MrT Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Has anyone any idea which controllers are available on the Galaxy ODB-II management system? I have been using the shareware version of VAG-COM and even with the shareware limitations, there seems to be far less modules available than on the list for the Sharan. I can get:01 Engine02 Transmission03 Brakes08 HVAC09 Cent Elect15 Airbags17 Instruments19 CAN Gateway33 Unknown protocol keyword 08083F No name76 Parking System Has anyone seen a list of the block measurements for the Galaxy and what each one is and what it should be? For example 01 (engine) block 001 = RPM + Temp+Air Mass+Throttle Angle (I made the contents of that block up). Also where can I find the procedures for various tasks, they do not appear to be on the TIS? Quote
_dg Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Have you searched these forums, as I think this has come up numerous times. AFAIK, Ford use a lot of propriatary stuff so you may not be able to interface with their controllers. Also, the Ford engines can't be accessed from Vag-Com Quote
MrT Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 I have searched these forums and these details are not answered. I have a Galaxy 2.8i which is a Volkswagen engine which can be accessed with VAG-COM. I am not sure if there are any proprietary Ford controllers on the Galaxy. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Hmmm, seem to remember something about people with VR6 engines being referred to VW dealers before, as Ford don't have the relevant diagnostic equipment to fully interrogate the engine/gearbox OBD stuff - therefore it won't be on the TIS CD. MrT Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Maybe I need the VW Sharon equivalent of the TIS, whatever that is called? Quote
