George106 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) No you didn't :) You got the complete OUTER drive shaft which is commonly available. The inner drive shaft assembly that woody needs (fitted only to the drivers side) is main dealer only or specialist aftermarket but certainly very hard to source. As Mirez said aftermarket option is cheaper and may last longer as is made more sturdy. I have had fitted on mine gal two weeks ago and can't complain. woody97 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 went down the main dealer route in the end as couldn't source item elsewhere locally, rather expensive though Quote

George TOuche :) ok so i read it wrong ....but had this problem with my previous galaxy { which was stolen} and a friend of mine fixed it Quote
Mirez Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Did he weld it? I did wonder about doing this on mine but was a little concerned should it ever need to be parted again. I also contemplated putting a bolt through the centre of the shaft to hold it in position but drilling it would have been difficult and I wasn't sure on the balancing implications of doing that.
