geoff Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 ...I'm not really up on whats going on under the bonnet and I dont know what a header tank is. I think where you put the water for the radiator is half full (is that just above the battery?) and the water for the windscreen is completely full. thx Geoff Quote

geoff Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 Fleng, thanks so much for your help, the van is garaged so no rain, i havent been using AC. will carry water with me and go to the garage first thing to get the test you mentioned. I feel less panicky now so once again thanks for all your help. Geoff.x Quote
FLENG Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 no worries mate keep an eye on temp, dont let it overheat and you'll be okif it does overheat on your way just pull up and let it cool down and add water if ness.. let us know how you get on Quote

geoff Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 Hi Fleng, took it to the local garage and they reckon the radiator is leaking but cant get a new one for a week so he put some sort or liquid into the radiator and said I could drive it for a couple of days. How safe is this and can I drive it for up to a week like this or am i asking for trouble? Geoff Quote
FLENG Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 hard to say without seeing the leak only thing you can do is keep an eye on the temp when you drive, only drive when you have to and as long as it doesn't overheat you should be fine and keep water with you at all times Quote
