this used to be a really busy site, but looking through the forum lots of sections have not been used for a year,or are people using other forums suitable for these cars, i know there is one other forum with a similar name with some old members from here but thats not busy either, whats goin on lol

well im back and thats more than enough to frighten everyone away. LOL

Time of year, most forums have busy period, quiet periods, antogonistic times, peaceful times... time of year, christmas and new year just gone, people still getting back into the swing of things, miserable weather..

Anyway... will soon pick up again.

i think its the way most dedicated forums go?

most problems have been posted/reported,so its a case of a member searching for the answer then disapearing?

but WHERE STILL HERE,live and kicking,OH AND FREE.:)

yeah i know what you mean maz but there used to be a regular core group of us on here most days it was fun, even the chat room dont work when i clicked into it yesterday it came up with something about a fault contact admin, glad its still free though,

just thought with 12k plus members it would be a bit busier lol

Sometimes life changes means we spend less time on the forums.. certainly was that way for me. Been a pretty rough couple of years with my eldest in and out of hospital like a yoyo,at one point when she was admitted, i honestly thought she was going to die, she was in DKA, which can be a killer for diabetics, she was in a very bad way.But shes ok now..now finally accepted what she has and that she will have it for the rest of her life.

theres still a few things on the forum that do not work properly,LIKE CHAT.

i have pm glen, but no response yet.

I may get some abuse for this but to be brutally blunt about it, there is no direction or development and thats the only reason its quiet. There is little incentive for any new member to return once his/her question is answered and so you end up with a declining memberbase and ghost users.

I own 6 different forums, 4 of which are vehicle related and they are all busy, they dont really have quiet periods - our biggest one has just undergone a major name change so all the links and referels no longer worked and the traffic dropped nearly 90% - Its taken us just 2 weeks of work and its now busier then before.

Like many forums and vehicle marks, they grow prosper and then grow old gracefully. A bit like me, I have sat watching for nearly two years maybe I should have been a bit more involved but like other forums and email chats sometimes it's not too friendly and the chill factor takes over.

How about a few of the caption type fun responses to encourage a few more posts then it may wake us all up a bit.

well, i aint been around much the past year or so..or maybe even more. I lose count as so much has gone on the past few years. Life in general took over a lot which leftlittle time for on here, car changes also meant i wasnt here on much, also flying took up a fair bit of my free time and organising a flying team has taken up a fair amount of time. Health problems of my own and my eldest daughter took priority over this forum.

Im finding the forum change is taking a bit of time to get used to aswell.

I have emailed and pm glen but so far no reply. if needs be i will hunt out his phone number and give him a call.

does anyone know how easy it is to change bulb in overhead clock and also what bulbs i need plz

Another lazy poster!!

Search and you will find everything. HERE

replies like this one i had to a question in the technical section dont help for a nice welcome or atmosphere, and its only cos i know how good the site was when i was here before that i stayed here, if that had been a first post that i was making i would have thought twice before posting again,

The thing is baz, everything is here... but yes just like when i first joined, you just want to get a job done so hit the new topic button rather than searching.

But sometimes even searching may not throw up what you are looking for.

People do change Baz, life changes and moves, we find other interests like i did with RC . The past 9/10 months ive gone into partnership and we are in the process of getting a new business up and running. That has taken a lot of time up before we got our equipment in research etc. So ive had less time for a lot of things.

seatkid is seatkid and has never changed. i myself have sometimes posted use the search facility.

i post saying use the search,as i MAY remember seeing a post/thread on the problem, but cannot comment on the details,so i will continue doing that as if i remember seeing things posted at least there has been a response rather then leave them hanging in fresh air.

I understand where you are coming from on that maz and Greg it's probably the way it was posted by referring to me as another member to lazy to search the same question could have been answered a bit friendlier. Maz since we last spoke I too went into rc flying and cars lol how odd

helicopters are expensive and difficult to fly

Best not let my youngest know that. She likes helis, and i have a blade in the house that is waiting for her to move up to, she can hover very well about 2 inch off the floor with her wee heli, but up and down nope.. she cannae do that too well yet, it will rebound off the ceiling and hit the deck.

I have an indoor twister heli, an ace thing to fly. Only prob is that you need to keep the Tx in line of sight with the heli or you lose the signal.

I much prefer my FW planes though specially my raven which i throw around in the air. My Gremlin needs some tweaking as it does about 4 rolls in a second which is pretty darn fast!!

Do you belong to a club Baz?

Dave do you fly at all?

tbh this site died when they allowed female members in and added them to the admin team :46:

Not any more, I used to have a very small business making "G-BLADES" and some other after market items for heli's but it didn't work out so I packed it in.
