Guest Fly4Money Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Both horn switches on my 96 Galaxy have broken. I purchased new ones but can't get the old out very easily. It appears there are a couple of tabs at the base that hold it in place in the steering wheel. Is a special tool required? Or can I just brute force them out... thanks Quote
Buncers Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Have a look at http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/Forum/index.php?showtopic=1356 You need torx to get the back off the steering wheel column, but be careful about the airbag - you need to disconnect the battery for some time. I just pulled the switch out from the front and cut and reconnected the wires. Quote
