Hello Everyone,

First off all, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone out there who has supported this forum.

Basically my 53 Galaxy has the "Water in the Passenger Footwell" problem and I wouldn't be able to have resolved it without you! So Thank You!

Anyway, getting back to the more serious part, basically, before I knew of this forum, I didn't have a clue about this water problem.

Unfortunately we didn't recognise the problem fast enough and water had overflooded in the footwell.

Now the problem, My Sensors & TV's. TV's being the less major part as Ford, (Also known as "Fraud" on this forum) wanted

Hi Calvin and welcome to the forum... would it not be easier to obtain a second hand control module?

If you really do want to install a whole new system then removing the old one should be quite easy, hopefully the holes will match on the rear and you can install the new sensors in them. Brown is the ground, reverse supply will be black with a blue trace. Not forgetting that the reverse lights are in the tailgate not the main cluster so you'll need to find the loom running up the near side D pillar and splice in there - you really REALLY need to use a suitable volt meter to locate the correct cable though - guess work isn't advisable on any electrical system.

Hi Mirez,

Thanks for your quick response.

I did take into consideration getting a second hand control module, but my problem was I just couldn't find one anywhere and was worried about compatibility.

I even went to the Sandicliffe where I bought the car from, and they gave me a Ford Part No (which is useless as I googled it and searched ford parts)

They wanted

You are extreamly welcome, its so nice to have someone who actually listens to the advice given and then comes back with further info and/or results!

I can't give you the sensor measurements I'm afraid but they do sell for a fair bit so don't chuck them away!

Good luck tomorrow, any basic voltmeter should do you - they are so cheap now its not worth not having one!

Hey,

Had a look over the past few days at the wiring, found the black/blue live wire for reverse light, one problem though.

Does anyone know how to take out the old sensors.

I tried undoing and holding off the clips but it looks like they are glued on.

Is it better to create new holes? or is there anyway to remove the old one?

Thanks,

Calvin
