Seatdriver Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Hi all, My 55 plate Alhambra still has a bust drivers window that wont move (believe the regulator has broken) but something else has been bugging me. When I lock the car with the remote I hear the lock motors move to lock the car, but it seems to last longer than usual, like its having an additional go at locking the doors. It never fails to lock or open but it seems to take longer than usual. The battery is fully charged and all the other functions from the drivers door control work perfectly. Penny for anyones thoughts! Oh and Happy new year everyone. Quote
Mirez Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Happy new year yourself :) When you lock with the remote you should hear the normal lock noise followed by a quick, half second delay and then a much quieter secondary lock noise - that Quote
Seatdriver Posted January 4, 2011 Author Report Posted January 4, 2011 Mirez, Thanks for the response, the sound just seems more pronounced than usual! I am hearing three locking sounds not two. Just wonder if the problem with the electric window mechanism is causing a problem. The car is due into Seat main agent on friday for repair to either the regulator/motor or both so i'll report back at weekend if the locking changes. Quote
