Hi just wondered if someone could shed some light on this problem.

i have 1997 2.8i galaxy manual, after about 40miles or so i completely

lose my clutch . if i park up for 10 mins it comes back. its been like it for months as

i dont make any long journeys , but would like to get it repaired now.

Any ideas please ?

Sounds like there is insufficient fluid in the system and that as it heats up it's either leaking or boiling away.

Excuse my ignorance but if clutch fluid was running low, would the brake fluid reservoir run low.

Clutch does not slip at all just lose presure. This has only happened since i had brakes replaced

and was presure bled. thanks all so far

Don't know about the Mk1 but on the Mk2 the brakes and clutch are fed from the same reservoir. Sounds like it would be worth bleeding the clutch through, again using a pressure bleeder.
