Ghia Tdi For Sale - Not Mine

Someone at work (living in Aldershot) has just posted on our internal sales board:

Gal Ghia TDI115 automatic for sale due to relocating abroad. 2001/Y-reg, silver, leather seats, video with 2 front seat head-rest monitors (I suspect that this is the factory-fit system). 39k miles.

Leather seats? I guess that means it's a six seater as I thought the leather was only available on captains chairs.

Nope, 7 seats. "standard" seats can be in leather as well as the so-called Captain's ones.

Shame this wasn't advertised just over a year ago as I'd have been seriously tempted.....

One day I'm going to have leather interior, satnav, auto transmission, luggage net and cover (rather than my improvised alternatives), DVD/video with screens and TV tuner................

Ive got the 7 leather seats also, wouldnt do without it, makes it look better IMO and easier to wipe the kids mess down

My '7' leather seats do make the car look that much smarter but I am not sure that they are easier to keep clean. I find that my kids manage to fill all those blasted holes with biscuit crumbs and they can be a bugger to remove.

 

I also think that the fabric seats of my previous galaxy were much more comfortable!

I had leather seats on my last 4 cars (Granada and Ultimas) and I thought I preferred leather but when I ordered my Gal leather could not be supplied in time so I had the ordinary Ghia spec'd cloth seats, what a pleasure. On hot days it doesn't burn your back and rear quarters when you first get in, in wintertime you don't suffer hypothermia until the heated seats kick in, you don't slide around all over the place, the downside ? You don't get that unbeatable smell of leather and they don't look as nice.
