Guest eddie mason Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 What does a blue envelope with a dot in it signify next to the last two messages i posted. I have searched the site but can't find anything to explain it? Am i doing something wrong. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Ah, the little envelopes - don't know how they decide on their colour, but I think that a little dot in the middle means that you have made a posting to that thread. Dark blue = you have'nt read all posts on a thread, light blue = you have read all posts on that thread. Quote
Guest nimrod Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Check out the bottom of the active topics page they are all explained there http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/Forum/style_images/1/f_norm.gif Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 It doesn't tell you how a topic becomes "hot" or what the dot is for  Quote
Guest eddie mason Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Ivor- when you look at the post does the envelope have a 'dot' in the middle or is it just me that can see it on my posts?CheersEddie Quote
Guest nimrod Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 which envelopes are we looking at the one in the first column on the active topics page or the ones next to the topics title ? as I cant see any dots................................................................................................................................................................... Quote
Guest eddie mason Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Nimrod, I posted this thread with the title Blue Envelopes in the technical section. In the first left column we get envelopes in various colours, this post is blue but i see it with a small dot in the centre of the envelope, i can't see anyone else with a dot in an envelope on my screen. When you have started a thread do you see a dot in the envelope, i.e only the author sees these dots. all these dots are making me dizzy...Eddie Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I can see the dots in the middle of the envelopes when you go to each section and it lists the topics. It appears that there is a dot in the envelope against any thread to which you have posted a message - irrespecive of whether or not it was you that started the topic. So how many people can see these dots then - Just a select few of us or everyone? seatkid Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 What happenned to the blue envelopes in those packets of crisps? Haven't seen em for years. Quote
Richmond Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 The blue envelope indicates air mail. That's how your posts arrive on the site so quickly. Quote
