musky Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Hi all, I'm very new hear but have been working on my own cars for years and was hoping for a bit of help concerning the wiring of a Front Blower Motor Resistor for a 1998 Ford Galaxy. I have bought a new connector and resistor and need to rewire them. If anyone can tell me what the wiring code or colour order to connect the three wires to the resistor, I would be very grateful. I did make a note but it has been lost. Any help as soon as possible would be very much appreciated!! Thanks in advance. Musky Quote
Mirez Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 I assume this is for a climate version not a manual dial version? Pin 1 - White/Blue - ControlPin 2 - Black/Red - To MotorPin 3 - Brown - To Ground Quote

Pin 1 - White/Blue - ControlPin 2 - Black/Red - To MotorPin 3 - Brown - To GroundHi Mirez Thanks for the quick reply to my problem.Yes, it is the climate version, the large 4mm wires i now know are pin2 and pin3 overheated and burnt the plastic connector.I have a haynes manual to which the wiring diagram shows as a 4 wire connection, same colour codes but different pins. I was on the internet all afternoon trying to solve the problem.Once again thanks for your help. Musky Quote
Mirez Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Ahh, the 4 pin version is the manual version not the climate - haynes seem to concentrate on the lower, I guess more commonly fitted stuff. Quote
