I have read several topics which mention relay 30, but am not sure if my Galaxy has the same problem.

Its a 2.3 petrol automatic, the problem started a couple of days ago, instead of starting first time, it took 2 tries. Once started it seem to run ok.

Drove the car today, started first time, but cut out while driving and now wont start at all

The starter turns over fine but the car will not start, turn the ignition of and there are 2 or 3 beeps.

AA been and had a look, its sparking ok and the fuel pump is working ang getting fuel to the filter, but after

trying to start the plugs are dry as if not getting any fuel.

AA suggested a possible relay problem or wiring fault !

Got the AA out again, got a vehicle electricain this time who identified relay 30 at the back of the fuse box as the culprit (grey relay with number 30 on top) There was nothing wrong with the relay, just a poor connection into the fuse box. Bent the connectors on the relay out slightly made it a nice tight fit again, problem solved at no cost.

Thought I would post my own answer might help others out.

Its a tricky relay to get to but good instructions are on

Its a 1999.

If you open up the fusebox, but keep all the wiring connected, you will probably be able to feel which relay is clicking when you try and start the car.
