Thinking of buying this car:

 

FORD GALAXY 1.9 TD Zetec 5dr [115 PS] Diesel Estate

101,000 miles, 5 Door Estate, Black, Diesel, Manual, 3x3 point rear seat belts, Steering wheel reach adjustment, Steering wheel rake adjustment, Front electric windows, Air conditioning, Body coloured bumpers, FULL YEARS MOT, leather interior, nice looking car, good family size 7-SEATER.

 

Can you give me any advice on buying this?

For example is it a good model, good price, what is the lifespan of such a model?

well mine is approching 97k,mine hasnt got leather,SO I WILL BE THE 1ST HERE:rolleyes:if you buy and dont like the leather give me a shout and ill swapp my interior over for yours:lol::).

there good cars,like all cars they have there problems,hence theres forums like this 1 to help people out with the fixes needed.

 

what price is it up for?

parkers.co.uk is a good place to get 2nd hand prices from plus will give you all info needed about the car.

 

life span iirc there was someone on here who had/has 1 that had 240k on the clock :oand still going strong.

 

is it a dealer sale or private?

if dealer negociate a decent warrenty,and if any faults found tell them to sort them out within 28 days under the sale of goods act,rather then the warrenty,because most dealers will fob you off with THAT PART ISNT COVERED.

 

what year is it,

make sure air con is working properly,can be expensive to fix.

also make sure the booster heater is working,you should here a jet engine noise from under the rear passenger side.again expensive to fix.
