goggy Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Hi everyone, This is my first post and unfortunately I need help straight away with my Mk2 Galaxy 1.9TDI GhiaDoes anyone know where to find the aircon drain tube?? I suspect it is blocked as I have troubles with the footwell getting soaked with water when the aircon is on. It happened in the hot weather and if I run in ECON mode, wet or dry weather, it doesn't happen. Can anyone help? PICs or diagrams if possible. Many thanks. Chris. Quote
Mirez Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Don't have a pic handy but its reasonably easy to find in the engine bay, personally I would go in from below but some say its easier from above as you don't need to remove the undershield. Either way, you are looking at the bulkhead inline with the coolent tank. You can't miss it as its a short 3cm stub of rubber coming out from the bulkhead - if you have some spare pipe then extend it whilst you're at it as the short stub is a bit of a design flaw which allows the drain water to soak the sound deadening. v6mikey Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Thanks Mirez, you have done it again. I would not have found mine at all if it wasn't for your old post. My drain was behind the sound deadening. Cut it away and out come all the water. Sorted. Quote
