Missing Front Fog Lights

Hi just bought a 2002 galaxy tdi i think i its the lx.

There are two empty holes in the bottom corners of the front bumper were the fogs should be i havent looked yet but i dont spose the lx has front fogs as standard if not should the wiring loom be there to connect too if i wanted to add them.

 

if not were could i find blanking plates to fill the holes.

I have no idea as th whether front fogs were fitted to LX models, but a clue would be if the holes were round or trapezium shaped. If round, then fog lamps would have been fitted. Another clue maybe whether the rear fog lamp comes on with the first 'click' out of the switch or the second (if there is a second 'click' that is).

If the holes are round, then new lamps are

LX did not come with front fogs as standard. It also rode on steel wheels whereas the Zetec and Ghia had alloys as standard. The trim pieces for the 2 ends of the lower cut-outs in the front bumper are different on the LX as they have no circular hole for the foglamps

I have fog lights fitted, but to be honest: they are a pain. They keep splintering up, presumably due to stone chippings. I have stopped replacing them but the broken glass and nowadays rusty inside is an ugly sight. I'd rather have those holes filled with plastic.
