Help Needed Quickly?

Hi all i need help quickly for my mate who has just bought a 2000 V galaxy.

 

he was bringing it home after parting with

Probably turbo failure, oil then enters the air intake causing the engine to burn that instead of diesel (hence it reving on its own and stopping making no difference) - because its burning oil not diesel you get dirty black smoke from the rear...

oil in the turbo due to seal failure so the car runs on its own oil <_<

Agree, classic turbo failure. Engine runs uncontrolled on engine oil. Engine either breaks as there is no limit on revs (conrods, pistons, valvegear), or will seize when the engine oil is exhausted. Hence if it ever happens to you, you should immediately stall the motor forcibly by holding on full brakes in gear.

and iirc it isnt tough,in the morning get your m8 to ring the trade and standards peeps and see what they can advise.
