Windows Opening When Doors Shut!

Our 51 plate ford galaxy has started doing odd things the latest is that when I shut the passenger door behind the driver the front windows open automaticaly.

 

The all windows are electric and have also taken to only operating when they feel like it, with no air con working too it is not funny in hot weather.

 

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Allmost certainly insulation breakdown on the wiring between car and door (in the rubber sleve) - seach for broken wiring and all will be revealed including how to repair ;)

As the all seeing and all knowing Mirez has said, my money is on the wiring being damaged. Had the very same thing on my own 2001 and it turned out to be the wiring in the front drivers door between A pillar and door, very common and when knackered creates all sorts of mad faults with windows and locks doing their own thing etc...
