buster Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 hi all i got a 99 2.3 si galaxy and started to run badly, so far i changed the plugs and no difference... pull off lead no1 and made no diference, pull lead off no3 and it ran all lumpy... swapped the coils around and taking of no1 lead and makes no difference, but when i tried lead on no3 pulling it of and made no diference as if not firing, but if i pull the multiplug off the coils the engine dies.............. is it leads or i think the coils are dying.............. seatkid Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 I think you answered your own question(s). Its either leads or coil(s) or both. Leads inevitably will be in poor condition if they are original, so start with a new set of leads. Probably you need to change at least one of the coil(s) as well as a duff lead usually leads to coil dying due to tracking. Quote
