Relacing Front Bumper Mk Iii

Hi

 

Recently damaged the front bumper on my 58 plate Galaxy.

 

Does anyone have any info on how to remove the old bumper and replace?

 

Couldn't find any posts on how to.

It's quite an involved procedure:

 

Remove engine undertray

Remove the cover under the bumper

Remove 2 screws on the front of the wheel arch liner (both sides)

Remove headlamps

Remove foglamps

Remove parking sensors (if fitted)

Note: before fitting the new bumper you'll need to drill holes for the parking sensors if you have them fitted.

What is the "cover under the bumper"?

 

Also the headlamps don't appear to be part of the bumper fitting?

The "cover under the bumper" is the piece immediately under the front of the car and is secured in place with 13 screws.

The headlamps need to be removed to get access to the screws that secure the bumper at the top.

I also forgot to mention the top (radiator) cover that needs to be removed to get access to another two screws.
