Front And Back Windscreen Wipers Stopped Working

Hi, wondered if someone could give us advice. We have an S reg Galaxy 2.3Ghia and the windscreen wipers have stopped working altogether.

 

There is a humming sound coming from the wiper motor?? when we try to turn the wipers on. I have checked the fuse and it's ok, but assumed it would because of the humming sound.

 

Could the arms/motor be jammed?? Please help, desperate as the car is used for the misses work all day everyday, and rain is forecast all week next week!!!! aarghhh

Did mine yesterday.The guides are good - and as most people say, allow about 3 hrs to do the job.

Take your time, plenty of WD40, don't hit things too hard.

Mine wern't completely seized so not too bad a job,I could only just turn the linkages with my hand though - very tight.
