How To Tighten Power Steering Belt

Its self tightened by the tensioner - how loose is loose? More then 2cm would suggest you have the wrong belt - there are a fair few options depending on engine and spec.

it is 1999 2.3 16v dohc, any ideas as to where i can get a diagram from??

Thanks, have got it on like diagram, but still no power steering!! do you have any other ideas as to where

If its on right then it can only really be the wrong belt or a broken tensioner / pully

will check if correct belt with local supplier, otherwise will check tensioner. thanx

This had me scratching my head a few years ago, the picture above is from Ford TIS, and it is wrong.

 

The belt goes around the outside of the power steering pump, and inside the top idler, everything else it correct. You will probably find that the belt you have will then fit. :P
