Hi All,

I have a 99'mk1 110bhp galaxy ghia which starts fine first thing when the engine is cold, but once the engine warms up I find it takes around 8-10 sec

to start.I recently replaced the temp sender unit as when I bought the car the temp needle was not working at all, come to think about it, the warm starting

thing seemed to happen right after replacing the temp sender unit!.

Also I have some of the more common probs such as: Air con, cruise control(not working) a slight loss in power almost like the engine is holding back abit, but

I see lots of topic's on these probs and will carry on reading about them,if anyone has any idea's on the warm starting thing I would love to hear from them

Many Thanks,

Jimi

get a vagcom lead and download the free software if you not done this already

it a common thing on these 110 tdi we had ours 5 years now and get odd starting isssues but they always fire up in the end

ours shows no faults, i have swopped all the sensors and still no cure, from what i read its a thing common to this enigne type and most people live with it

howevr the engine holdiong back felling needs checking could be the dreaded sticky turbo vanes or egr valve, someone earlier mentioned wynns egr valve cleaner which may be worth a try

the vagcom lead and software though will help you sort out any failed sensors and the leads are about
