High Tickover When From Cold Start

'96 V6 Manual.

When starting from cold, the engine races to around 1500 to 1750 ish RPM, it will then incremently drop back to a normal (for cold) 1000 rpm tickover over the course of the next 2 mins or so.

 

When approaching normal operating temp it settles into a nice 750-800 rpm tickover and is then fine.

 

 

Any thoughts ?

Nah, it gets fed very well :lol:

 

It never used to do it, it only ever went to 1000 rpm and held steady......
