Whinning Noise

hi all, my galaxy makes a strange whinning noise which is rev dependant. i think it is th air con compressor. Is it possible to by pass the air con at all and fit a belt for non air con galaxy? It doesn't work very well anyway andhas the hissing sound from glove box

If it a 2.0L petrol then yes it is.

You do need to remove the aircon pully and electro magnet as the non aircon belt will foul on the aircon pully.

Then just get a belt for a non aircon model.

I did this when my compressor pully siezed, then after a few months just replaced the pully and magnet.
