Squeeling Under Engine Load

Hi,

 

MK3, September 2007 with 40K, owned since new.

 

Last 6 months noticed squeeling from engine bay when accelerating, easy to recreate if you get rolling pop it in third and put your foot to the floor.

 

Been in Reading Ford four times now and today they tell me one of the pipes to.from the intercooler is leaking and require replacing.

 

Under warranty so no worries my end luckily, they seem to think it is a days job to correct.

 

Is this a common problem, is there anything else I need to look out for, could it have caused any damage to intercooler/turbo?
