Guest Dougwzz99 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 My Galaxy has a slight 'hesitation' when accelerating, theres just a slight delay between pressing the accelerator and the power coming in. Is this the (in?)famous turbo lag that I've heard about (this is my first diesel car, so I've nothing to compare against). I don't want to take it to the dealer if this is just 'normal' behaviour... TIA --Doug. Quote
Tigger Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I have a 130 and yes there is a slight moment for it to pick up. unless it takes seconds I should not worry! Quote
italiastar Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I've not noticed anything, press the accelerator and it Shifts! Tiff Needel was full of praise with the Fabia fitted with the same engine a few days ago. Quote
Guest Dougwzz99 Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Its a 6-speed manual. The 'delay' is not much, about a second I guess - noticeable, but not a problem. I think it must be turbo lag, because once the 'delay' has passed (and presumably the turbo has kicked in) it certainly gets moving! Quote
