Mk2 Tdi Galaxy Problems

hi all i have got a 2001 tdi galaxy so far i have replaced the air flow meter turbo vacume pipes

and given it a full service

and i have had the car pluged in to find the get fault codes but it is showing none?

 

the problems i have is some times may be 1-2 out of 20 starts the heater coil light comes on only every now and then but will go of when you restart.....

 

the other prob is sometimes if i start the galaxy and try and pull away there is no throttle for about 10-15 seconds then it will work fine and rev up? and run with no problems

First culprit has got to be the glowplugs - change them and get the injectors checked.

 

I would suspect you might have a problem with the wiring to the glow plugs - carefully check it out.

Had similar problems for quite a while. In the end, I replaced the injector wiring (which is inside the rocker box cover). Not too difficult a job, but apparently an issue on early mk2's.
